Decoration of Louis Vuitton stores in Fukuya department stores.
This time, the washi pattern is organized into cotton threads hung in a grid, and then the washi kohyo (another category of Japanese paper) is hung diagonally.
Compared to other patterns, it gives a more elegant impression.
Large wooden crates were used, similar to those used for the washi in the Iyotetsu Takashimaya store in Matsuyama. The washi measured 4000 mm x 1700 mm and was hung with wires at 20 mm pitch.
The store is located on the first floor and the installation can be seen from the outside because it is organized as a tapestry in a large window overlooking the passage.
