An exhibition of works by Requ is currently on display at Dogo Onsen Annex, Asuka no Yu.
From large-scale pieces that enhance the space to smaller products designed to accompany everyday life, the works are both exhibited and available for purchase.
Our washi paper is handmade one by one using a unique technique: washi paper cords are layered and carefully formed using Kannon Water, one of Japan’s “100 Remarkable Waters,” from Seiyo City in Ehime Prefecture.
By incorporating zeolite into the material, the washi paper gains humidity-regulating and deodorizing properties, resulting in what we call “breathing washi.”
We invite you to take your time and enjoy these works, where traditional craftsmanship and the blessings of nature come together, at the venue.
