Tokyo, Japan

Workshop held in MUJI store in Shibuya’s Seibu center.

Requ’s “Japanese paper breathing mobiles” are sold in MUJI’s online store, which offers food and handicrafts from different regions in different countries.

The two-day workshop was attended by many adults who took their time to create their own original mobiles, as well as by energetic children.

Indian ink is used to color the material, Japanese paper.
As the ink gradually spreads over the surface of the paper, we were delighted to find that it was a new discovery for those unfamiliar with washi, provoking wonder at the difference from Western paper.

The children and adults showed great creativity, and the workshop was overwhelmed by each person’s unique expressions.
