“Uneri” has been selected for the 4th Kanazawa World Crafts Triennial

Our work “Uneri” was selected for the 4th Kanazawa World Crafts Triennial “Transcending Boundaries Crafts”.

At the reception held at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, one of the jurors, metalwork artist Mamoru Nakagawa, said in his greeting, “The works selected this time are those that remind us of the future of crafts and give us hints. I am very grateful to him for this.

The process of developing the HP shell structural continuum from line to the surface is expressed by making multiple layers of Kozo fibers, the raw material of Japanese paper, and by making each part into a module or unit to give it expandability. The work incorporates some of the modern concepts used in architecture, engineering, software, and other fields in the field of crafts. We are encouraged by the fact that our work has been selected in the field of contemporary crafts for future activities.

The LOEWE FOUNDATION CRAFT PRIZE 2019 award-winning works are also on display. These works are also stunning. Please visit us when you are in the neighborhood.
